We use Free Index as a way of collecting reviews of our service from customers.
Giving us a review is of course optional and in order to do so customers have to register with Free Index, enter the review and then at a later time confirm the review after receiving an email from Free Index.
As you can see it requires quite a bit of effort to give a review. So when we get one, we really appreciate it, especially as so many of them say such nice things.
We’ve been getting more and more reviews and Free Index have now given us a “Highly Recommended Company”, award, which we are displaying on our web site and also here. We’re really proud to get such an award and it is entirely due to our lovely customers and the nice things they say about us. Thank you so much.

We’ve just added an Ex rental Primavera Loreto Violin Outfit to the web site. This one has had the extra work done to make it a “Plus” model including a set of French Corelli Crystal strings. It also includes the Carbon Fibre bow that is now supplied as standard in the latest Primavera 200 and Primavera Loreato models.
Though this is Ex-Rental it is in excellent condition, pretty much as new. A nice violin at a nice price. You can also rent it.

Kaplan Artcraft Light Rosin
Our latest Rosin addition is Kaplan Art Craft Rosin. A sort of medium priced offering but very well liked by many people. It’s still made to the original recipe and like most manufacturers it’s all very secret. We’re only stocking the Light version at the moment, there is a stickier Dark version available and we’ll probably have that in stock soon. See Rosins Here

Pirastro Goldflex Rosin
Just added a new rosin to the Web Site.
We’ve just received stocks of the very popular rosin, Pirastro Goldflex, a very upmarket and professional rosin that really does have minute flecks of gold within it. According to users the addition of the gold makes the bow hair grip the strings better but very smoothly giving a consistent and clear tone but with very little dust. Many professional violinists use and recommend this rosin so we’re very happy to have it for sale on our Web Site. Click to see Rosins.

Junior Master Violin
Just been working on the first of the Eastman Strings Young Master violins. Really nice instrument with very clever antiquing, you’d be hard pressed to know whether this really was a new instrument or one made a 100 or so years ago. It’s a handmade instrument and it really shows in the quality of the construction, it’s also very light, which is usually a sign of a good violin.
We’ve fitted Dominant strings for now and after a couple of hours of playing they have settled down and the balance from string to string has improved. Dominants do tend to have a metallic edge when they are first fitted but once they’ve been played for a while they become much more mellow and rounded. I’m quite impressed with this violin and it was no chore to give it a good play in. This is going to be a good violin for those players who can’t quite justify spending on an Eastman Strings Master Violin, ideal for the serious player in an amateur orchestra.

Well the Arriago didn’t stay long. It’s on it’s way to it’s new owner. Not sure when we’ll be getting another one, hopefully we won’t have to wait too long.

We’ve just finished setting up a new Arriago Violin and it is now on the web site for you to buy. The Arriago is a Violin Company Special. We purchase these singly from a small workshop in China so we don’t have them in stock all the time as they seem to sell quite quickly.
It’s a nice Violin for say Grade 3 and upwards with quite a mellow tone and fairly predictable to play.
