Violin Shoulder Rests

The use of a shoulder rest is encouraged by most teachers today. It provides valuable support for the violin under the chin and reduces damage to the neck.

The use of a shoulder rest can transform a young players posture and control of the instrument and is highly recommended. We always carry a selection in stock. The cheapest by FOM will just about do the job but we recommend the Kun or one of it's oriental copies as a better option.

Model - FOM-Basic

Low Cost shoulder rest. Shaped hard foam covered with a baize like green material. Held onto the violin with atached elastic bands. Works quite well but is not adjustable like more expensive models. Suitable for 3/4 and 1/2 size only.
