The Primavera 200 series of violins always were extremely good value, this new version is even better quality and even better value for money.
Made from well seasoned Pine and Maple they are hand made and nicely finished. The Ebony pegs respond well to extra work to make them fit properly and the fingerboard is of real Ebony, not the stained hardwood used in so many budget violins.
We take the best of these violins and spend quite a lot of time in setting them up. We replace the strings with a set of Corelli Crystal and as well as our normal setup for the basic violin we spend time lightening and adjusting the bridge, replacing and adjusting the sound-post and re-working the nut and fingerboard.
The result is well worth the time and the extra money. It's just a completely different violin. All the strings sound nice without harshness and they are so much softer under the fingers making the violin much easier to play.
The new bow has a Carbon Composite stick with an ebony frog and unbleached horsehair. Carbon Fibre has distinct advantages for student outfits, it's virtually indestructible, doesn't warp and won't loose it's curve if left with the hair tight.
The new case is much smarter than the previous model and features Hi-Visibility reflective strips on the outside and a much stronger student proof handle. The inside is lined with a soft plush and there is a violin blanket to protect the instrument. We also supply a Yellow duster so that you can wipe off the rosin dust after playing.
The previous version of this violin won a Music Industry Award for the best value stringed instrument, this new version is even better and we wouldn't be surprised to see it win another award soon.
A very good starter and improver violin outfit up to about grade 5 or 6.
Customer Comments: I can't believe it sounds so nice for that sort of price. Even I can make a nice sound and that says a lot.
I had a (professional musician) friend look over the violin and she was really impressed with the set up and value for money. So thank you.
