Another fine violin from Gliga in Romania. The Gama is one of the violins that Gliga describe as "Professional".

Made from carefully selected, well seasoned Spruce and Maple from the Carpathian Forest with good quality Ebony fittings, this instrument is a delight to hold. The workmanship and finish is excellent and the semi-matt finish very neatly applied.
You can see an interesting video about Gliga Violins here

We set this violin up in our workshop and fit a set of Dominant strings. We also replace the wooden tailpiece with its single adjuster on the E string with a quality Witner lightweight tailpiece with 4 integral adjusters, more suitable for the student player. We put the original tailpiece in the case in case the buyer wants to revert to the single adjuster.
This is a really nice instrument to play. Like all Gliga instruments it has a very warm sounding G & D with a clear A and almost bell like E. The tonal quality is very well matched from string to string and it has plenty of power when you need it.
It's an instrument that will improve with playing, even the hour or so in our workshop markedly improved the tone and dynamic range.

We are supplying this instrument with a good quality oblong case with a waterproof Black canvas covering detailed with brown piping. The inner is lined with a luxurious deep plush and includes 2 bow holders and numerous compartments to hold a Shoulder Rest and other accessories. Please note the internal colour varies from case to case. The illustation is just an example.
Externally there is a zipped pocket to hold music and straps so that the case can be carried on the back like a rucksack.
The Bow is a good quality Octagonal Brazilwood model with unbleached horse hair and an Ebony frog with a Paris Eye insert.

We have recorded a video of this violin. Please be aware that you will not get the full effect of the enhanced tonal quality in this recording if you are just listening on a phone. Using a set of headphones will help as will a good set of speakers for your computer. To see the video Click Here

Amazing value for money, a quality European made violin from a well respected maker with good quality accessories and a Violin Company setup.

*This outfit is also available with a Pernambuco bow at a price of £865. Please contact us by email (info@violincompany.co.uk) if you would like to discuss these options further.

Customer Comments: This sounds amazing, even after 3 months of lessons I can really make it sing! I would advise an adult beginner who is serious to buy this superb instrument - it looks great and sounds great and I know it can only get better the more I practice.
