A small pack of Hide Glue. This is the correct glue for use on violins whether making or repairing. There is sufficient in one pack to glue at least two violins and repair many more. It comes in a granular form and easily dissolves in hot water.

Clever Plastic Clamp used to hold the fingerboard to the neck whilst gluing. You can do the job without these but they make it so much easier to accurately hold the fingerboard in just the right place while the glues sets. Ideally you need two of them.

A Chinrest Wrench. Forget about all those flimsy bits of wire for tightening and loosening chinrest barrels. This little tool will never let you down. Nicely Chromium plated and very strong, the little spike that goes into the hole in the Chinrest barrel is just the right length and will not protrude far beyond the barrel so eliminating the chances of scratching the Violin Varnish in that area. Invaluable if you are making or repairing violins or maybe you are a teacher.

End Pin Clamp. This tool clamps onto an end pin and really helps to remove a stuck one without damaging it. It's also very useful for holding a new end pin while you adjust the thickness and taper to fit it to a violin. Made of polished aluminium and very good value. **CURRENTLY OUT OF STOCK**
Price - £9.50 Delivery - £3.95
Nicely made tool to insert a soundpost and adjust the position of one that has been fitted. Made of highly polished steel with a rubber sleeve grip in the middle.
Price - £12.50 Delivery - £3.95
One of the most difficult parts of setting up a sound post is getting the little blighter out of the inside of the violin when it drops. This clever little tool really helps. It's a metal handle with a spring clip on the end. You push the clip through the F hole of the violin onto the dropped sound post. The springy bits open and grip the sound post allowing you to quickly pull it to the F hole and remove it. The handle is covered with a rubbery compound to help prevent damage to the sides of the F hole when you insert it. This is so much better than trying to stab the sound post with a spike and have it fall off just as you get it to the F hole.
